Back to School

School has been in session since August 16th.  I do not feel old enough to be the mother of a high schooler, but there you have it.  She is thriving at her school and is challenged.  Dave and I attended back to school night to meet all her teachers - almost makes me want to go to high school again.   Almost.    The boy attends 7th grade at the same school as last year.  He's happier at the school than he was last year and is off to a much better start.

Its been such a frenetic summer that we missed the opportunity to buy back to school photos through the schools.  Instead, we took the kids to the San Jose Rose Garden for a photo shoot.  These are the results.....  Its safe to say that we need more practice as photographers.

As you can see, we were blessed by a lovely day at the garden.  Its always fun to bury one's face in roses and breathe deeply.  We all took turns finding good spots for pictures.

There are artifacts (white space) around a lot of the pictures because unfortunately, after uploading them to an on-line photo print shop, we appear to have inadvertently deleted them from both the SD card and the hard-drive.  The originals are gone.  *sniff*
